Cristiane Peixoto, a floral designer, and her husband, Marcus Silberman, an investment banker, are from Rio de Janeiro, and as Ms. Peixoto said, “Life in Rio is all about being on the beach and outdoors.” So when the couple bought an apartment for their family in Manhattan, they chose one with as much space outdoors as there is indoors.
